DUSHANBE, August 2, 2016, Asia-Plus – Companies and enterprises engaged in offering services and selling goods to nonresidents in a foreign currency should get license from the National Bank of Tajikistan until August 15.

Otherwise measures will be taken against them in accordance with the country’s legislation, says a statement released by Tajik central bank on August 1.

The statement, in particular, says that cell phone companies, international transportation and logistics companies, Tajik Railways and hotels offer services to nonresidents in a foreign currency.

Under the country’s law on currency regulation and currency control, goods may be sold in a foreign currency in duty free shops in airports on the basis of a special permit got from the National Bank of Tajikistan.

Besides, it is permitted to receive a foreign currency for services offered to passengers of international carriers, consular services provided to nonresidents in airports and international stations, and works carried out on repairing and preparing foreign aircraft.

It is also permitted to receive a foreign currency on the basis of the NBT license for providing international roaming services, paying for export and import of goods, offering services to nonresidents in hotels and service centers engaged in carrying out bank transactions in lending agencies.
