The lawyer, sentenced to 9 years for bribery and fraud, falls under the Amnesty.

A known Tajik lawyer Shuhrat Kudratov will be released on the Amnesty, declared in honor of the 25th anniversary of Tajikistan's independence. Convicted in January last year Kudratov, serves today his sentence in correctional institution No. 3/4, located in Dushanbe.

As reported the relatives of the lawyer, Shuhrat Kudratov will soon be released, and today will be known the date of his release from prison.

Recall that the lawyer Shuhrat Kudratov was sentenced to 9 years of imprisonment on the 13th of January 2015.

Later, on March 3, 2015 the country's Supreme Court reduced his sentence to 5 years and 4 months and ordered to pay a fine in the amount of 87.6 thousand somoni.

Shuhrat Kudratov is one of the lawyers of disgraced businessman Zaid Saidov, who was sentenced in Tajikistan to 26 years in prison.

In Tajikistan, starting from the 30th of August, Amnesty began to release prisoners. The first released were the women from women’s prison in Nurek and Yovon prison – more than 500 people.

In General, the Amnesty will affect 12 thousand people, including three thousand people who are serving sentences in correctional institutions of the country.
