According to the Russian Foreign Ministry, the representatives of the Ministry closely monitor the situation with the Russian woman Tatiana Huzhina detained in Tajikistan and provide her with the necessary assistance. "We expect that when passing a verdict the court will show maximum leniency, taking into account the mitigating circumstances, namely, the absence of malicious intent and selfish intentions" – The Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement..

The customs service stressed that according to the norms of the legislation of Tajikistan, the illegal export of coins having such value from the country is prohibited.

A criminal case has been instituted against a Russian citizen under articles 32 (attempted crime) and 289 (smuggling) of the Criminal Code of Tajikistan.

Meanwhile, according to the expert of the National Bank of Tajikistan, the value of the coin carried does not exceed 300 Russian rubles.
