A 13-year-old Amirjon Niyatbekov from the Porshnev village in the Shugnan district of the Gorno Badakhshan Autonomous Region (GBAO) died on October 11 in a hospital of fire wounds inflicted on him by his uncle on October 6.

Two persons have been detained on suspicion of being involved in that crime.

As it had been reported earlier, resident of the city of Khorog Nekrouz Niyatbekov, 25, together with Vose Agibzoda, a student at the Khorog State University, 18, came to the village of Porshnev where his relatives lived and started dispute over an inheritance of his late brother.

Nekrouz Niyatbekov reportedly fired at his brother’s mother-in-law Olamgul Devlokhova, 57, and his underage nephew Amirjon Niyatbekov, 13, for an apartment his brother’s widow and her son inherited from his late brother.

Earlier, a court had ruled that his late brother’s apartment in Khorog would be devolved to his widow and his son.  Nekrouz Niyatbekov did not agree with the ruling handed down by the court.

The assailants reportedly also used knives.  Ganjina Nazridodova and her brother Muboriz Nazridodov, 18, sustained stab wounds.

Nekrouz Niyatbekov and Vose Agibzoda have reportedly been arrested in hot pursuit operation.  Criminal proceedings have been instituted against them and an investigation is under way.
