In Sughd region, an employee of the Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the city of Khujand with more than 80 kg of drugs was detained. About this to "AP" reported a reliable source in law enforcement agencies of the region.

According to the source, he was detained by employees of the anti-corruption department of Sughd region.

The source also noted that "several more people were detained with him".

"They were detained on suspicion of organizing a criminal group," the source said. When detained, they seized more than 82 kg of opium and hashish ".

The criminal case was initiated under Article 200 Part 4 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Tajikistan.

Meanwhile, as a source in the Tajik government's security bloc told AP, a special operation to identify and detain a group of drug traffickers was conducted in the north of the country by members of the anti-drug and anti-corruption agencies of the country.

"Among the arrested there is an employee of the internal affairs agencies named Ruslan Sharipov," the source said, but in what position and rank he served in the ranks of the police, the source did not disclose.
