In a report released at a news conference in Dushanbe, Tajik Interior Minister, Ramazon Rahimzoda, revealed on February 8 that Tajik police prevented 36 terrorist attacks in Tajikistan last year.

“Besides, due to information provided by the Tajik Interior Ministry to foreign colleagues a number of terrorist attacks were prevented in some countries as well,” the minister said.

“Thus, with help of Tajikistan five terrorists attacks were prevented in Russia, two terrorist attacks were prevented in Uzbekistan and one each in China, Ukraine and Kazakhstan,” Rahimzoda noted.  

The minister further added that 300 Tajik nationals had been put on the list of internationally wanted persons last year for committing grave crimes.
