Three young men have been detained in Dushanbe in two separate operations on suspicion of robberies, according to the Interior Ministry’s website. 

The 18-year-old resident of Dushanbe Firouz Mulloyev and the 20-year-old resident of Roudaki district Ziyodullo Ahrorov were detained last week on suspicion of armed robbery.

They reportedly seized mobile phones and cash from four persons to the total amount of 10,000 somoni. 

Dushanbe resident Alexander Shcherbinin has been detained on suspicion of committing two robberies last month.  He reportedly snatched golden chains from necks of two women in Dushanbe’s 46th neighborhood unit to the total amount of 6,400 somoni.  

Criminal proceedings have been instituted against the detained robbers and an investigation is under way.
