 A group of commandos of mobile troops of the Ministry of Defense of Tajikistan at the end of last week flew to the United States to participate in the exercises "Regional Cooperation-2018". It will be held at the US military base Edwards in Massachusetts on September 10-21.

In the exercise, organized by the US Central Command, in addition to the Tajik paratroopers will be attended by representatives of the Armed Forces of Afghanistan, Mongolia, Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan, the head of the press center of the ministry of defense of Tajikistan Orif Nozimov told AP.

More than 200 servicemen from different countries will take part in the exercises.

It is assumed that the multinational group will develop a combined military response to several exercise scenarios to promote cooperation and interoperability.

According to the plan of the exercises, the participants of the maneuvers will focus on operations for ensuring stability, border security, combating terrorism, combating drugs and countering the proliferation of banned materials and technologies
