Fifty-seven countries of the world have provided some 39 million U.S. dollars’ worth of more than 20,000 tons of humanitarian aid to Tajikistan over the first ten months of this year, according to the Agency for Statistics under the President of Tajikistan.

Over the report period, among donors countries the greatest share reportedly came from India – 16.2 percent; Russia – 15.6 percent; Switzerland – 11.2 percent; China – 11.1 percent; and others.

Over the same ten-month period last year, fifty-one countries provided more than 65.1 million U.S. dollars’ of humanitarian aid to Tajikistan. 

In January-October 2017, among the donor countries the greatest share in value reportedly came from China – 33.6 percent.

In all, fifty-eight countries provided 73.644 million U.S. dollars’ worth of 24,353.5 tons of humanitarian aid to Tajikistan last year and the greatest share came from China – 32.2 percent.
