Tajikistan’s lower house (Majlisi Namoyandagon) of parliament (Majlisi Oli) has initiated holding of a regional conference to discuss issues related to investment in youth, Muhammadato Sultonov, a spokesman for the Majlisi Namoyandagon, told Asia-Plus in an interview.

According to him, the conference entitled “Act Now – Create Future” will take place at Hyatt Dushanbe Hotel from March 28-29.  

Organized by the Majlisi Namoyandagon and the Committee for Youth and Sports Affairs under support of the Asian Population Association (APA), Japan Trust Fund and United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), the conference is expected to bring together representatives of Tajikistan’s Foreign Ministry, Parliament as well as representatives of diplomatic missions and international organizations active in the country  

The review of social life and activities of youth in the CIS member nations is expected to be presented at the conference.  

The conference participants will raise issues of civil activity of young people, activities of youth organizations and findings of the demographic and health survey on youth, Sultonov said
