Uzbekistan has been listed among the top ten member nations of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) in terms of pilgrimage tourism.

According to the OIC report, Uzbekistan has entered the top ten OIC member countries which are the most attractive for Muslim tourists.   

The Islamic Republic of Iran and Indonesia are also listed among the OIC member nations that are the most attractive for Muslim tourists. 

Among the countries that keep their attractiveness for Muslim tourists are Turkey, Malaysia, United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Morocco, Bahrain, Qatar, Tunis and Kazakhstan.    

When carrying out the ranking they reportedly took into consideration historic and contemporary significance of the country for the Muslim world, conditions created for Muslim tourists, climate, security and transportation services.
