Over 1.7 tons of drugs destroyed today in the furnace of the “Tajiktekstilmash” plant in Dushanbe. Of these, heroin amounted to 50 kg.

Destroyed drugs were seized by police officers and went through 159 criminal cases, as evidence. The verdict in these cases has already entered into legal force, and material evidence has been destroyed, the press center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Tajikistan reports.

Largest volume fell on drugs of the cannabis group – 850 kg, opium – 465 kg, hash – 346 kg, heroin – over 49 kg.

In addition, the Ministry of Internal Affairs notes, a certain number of psychotropic MDMA tablets and codeine tablets were destroyed.
