President Emomali Rahmon, who is currently on his working visit to the Kulob region of the Khatlon province, today kick-started rehabilitation of the road connecting the city of Kulob and the Muminobod district, according to the Tajik president’s official website.

This road is reportedly being rehabilitated within the framework of the third phase of the program aimed at rehabilitating roads in Tajikistan.         

The estimated budget for rehabilitation of the Kulob-Muminobod road is 214.4 million somoni.  The project reportedly includes rehabilitation of 35 kilometers of the road and six bridges.     

While in Muminobod, the head of state also attended official opening ceremonies of cardiology center, new building of the local prosecutor’s office, sports grounds and some other social facilities.  

Today, Emomali Rahmon is expected to inaugurate a number of social and educational facilities in Kulob, including two schools, two hospitals, music college, amusement park and reconstructed city’s culture and recreational park. 

A theatrical show, involving 5,700 people, will take place at Kulob Amphitheater in evening of September 11.
