Tajikistan’s Mayakovsky Russian Drama Theater begins touring to Russia

The Dushanbe-based Mayakovsky Russian Drama Theater will begin touring to Russia on November 16, the Theater actor Khurshed Mustafoyev told Asia-Plus in an interview.

According to him, they will tour to Russia at the invitation of The Union of Theatre Workers of the Russian Federation.  “They invite us for already the second time,” Mustafoyev noted.  

“This time we have been invited to Tambov, where will show “Tartuffe” staged by Bahodur Miralibekov and “A Night in the Theater” in my production,” said Mustafoyev.  “On November 19, we will participate in the Festival of Russian-speaking Theaters in Moscow.”

At the Festival, the troupe will show “Tartuffe”, which is one of the most famous theatrical comedies by Moliere. 

Russian-speaking theaters from Georgia, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Moldova will also participate in the Festival of Russian-speaking Theaters in Moscow.
