Ministers of economy, culture and education replaced

President Emomali Rahmon has introduced a number of staff, according to the Tajik president’s official website.

By president’s decree Mr. Zavqi Zavqizoda, who had previously served as First Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Trade, was appointed Minister of Economic Development and Trade, replacing Mr. Nematullo Hikmatullozoda.

Nematullo Hikmatullozoda, who had headed the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade since 2015, was appointed Presidential Aid for Economic Issues.

Ashourboy Solhezoda, formerly Presidential Aid for Economic Issues, was appointed First Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Trade.  

Ms. Zulfiya Davlatzoda, who had previously served as First Deputy Chairperson of the Committee for Women and Family Affairs under the Government of Tajikistan, was appointed Minister of Culture, replacing Mr. Shamsiddin Orumbekzoda.     

Shamsiddin Orumbekzoda had been Minister of Culture since 2013.

Mahmadyusuf Imomov, formerly Rector of Tajik National University, was appointed Minister of Education and Science, replacing Nouriddin Said.

Nouriddin Said, who had served as Minister of Education and Science for eight years, was appointed to head the Committee for TV and Radio-broadcasting under the Government of Tajikistan.
