Three residents of the Roudaki district have been detained on suspicion of selling counterfeit Russian rubles, according to the Interior Ministry’s website 

They were reportedly in Dushanbe on January 22 while trying to sell 55,000 counterfeit Russia rubles.  

55,000 counterfeit Russian rubles and 3,500 somoni were confiscated from them, the website says 

Criminal proceedings have been instituted against them ad an investigation is under way.
