Chinese authorities have announced the end of the coronavirus epidemic in the country, according to RIA Novosti.

The official representative of the State Committee for Health of the People's Republic of China, Mi Feng announced this at a briefing in Beijing.

As of March 28, the number of confirmed cases of infection throughout the country was reportedly less than three thousand.  “Thus, the spread of infection in China was stopped,” Mi Feng said.  

According to the latest data, about 82,000 cases of COVID-19 have been registered in China since the beginning of the outbreak, 75,576 patients have recovered, 3,300 people died.
