The Guardian reported on July 6 that according to the Johns Hopkins University tracker, India has become the world’s third-worst affected country in terms of number of coronavirus cases, overtaking Russia.

India reportedly has 697,413 known coronavirus cases and 19,693 deaths.

Russia has reported 680,283 cases and 10,145 deaths so far.

The US, with nearly 3 million infections, tops the list, with Brazil in second place, with 1.6 million infections.
