A user of social network has published information that police officers did shooting in Khorog’s Bar Kharagh (Upper Khorog) neighborhood unit on November 4.  No injured was reported.

An official source at the Interior Ministry confirmed the fact of shooting and said that the preliminary investigation was under way and the incident details would be published in the near future.

According to him, shots were fired into the air in order to call to order youth.

Meanwhile, the Interior Ministry’s website says the incident took place in the evening of November 4.

Police officers reportedly attempted to detain a 28-year-old resident of Khorog Sino Zikilobekov, who disobeyed the traffic police officer's request to stop at the traffic police checkpoint in Suchan jamoat of Shugnan district.

Fifteen residents of Bar Kharagh neighborhood unit “obstructed the lawful activities of traffic police officers and resisted them.”  Police officers shot into air in order to placate the youth, according to the Interior Ministry’s website.

Sino Zikilobekov has not yet been detained.
