New Sughd chief prosecutor Furqat Khojazoda proceeded to work two weeks ago.

He had previously served as deputy chief prosecutor in the Gorno Badakhshan Autonomous Region (GBAO).

Recall, the previous chief prosecutor in Sughd province Habibullo Vohidov was appointed to head the Drug Control Agency (DCA) under the President of Tajikistan.

Furqat Khojazoda was born in 1979 in Baljuvon district of Khatlon province.  In 2001, he graduated from the Faculty of Law, Tajik National University. Upon graduation, Khojazoda had worked in the Prosecutor-General’s Office.  He had also served as chief prosecutor in one of districts of Khatlon province.
