The Federal State Unitary Enterprise (FSUE) Passport-Visa Service at the Russian Interior Ministry intends to open its representative office in Tajikistan.

Director-General of the FSUE Passport-Visa Service, Sergei Mashin, remarked this at a meeting with head of the representative office of the Tajik Ministry of Labor in Moscow, Zohir Mirzozoda, according to the national news agency Khovar.

The meeting was reportedly focused on issues related to implementing initiatives on providing proper conditions for Tajik labor migrants working in the Russian Federation, carrying out inspections to reveal administrative offenses, obtaining permission from the sectoral authorities of the host country, and entry of certain groups of Tajik citizens into Russia.

Mashin, in particular, noted that they consider it expedient to open their representative office in Tajikistan.

According to him, the signing of an agreement on cooperation with Tajikistan will further simplify the migration process and will significantly reduce the period of documentation for labor activities, including obtaining a patent, Khovar said.
