President Emomali Rahmon has instructed the Standing Committee on COVID-19 Response and the Ministry of Health and Social Protection of the Population (MoHSPP) to take under control the issue of vaccination and strict compliance with social distancing.  

Similar instructions were also given to heads of provinces, cities and districts at the government session that was held on June 30, according to the Tajik president’s official website. 

“…The President has instructed … to take under control the issue of vaccination, compulsory compliance with the rules of personal and public hygiene, drug delivery, use of face masks, strict compliance with social distancing, disinfection of educational institutions, parks and other public places,” the president’s website said.  

Meanwhile, social media networks note that there is no more dangerous place than public transport in terms of infection and spread of coronavirus, because most of do not wear a face mask in public transport and buses and routed minibuses are always overcrowded
