As part of working visit to Turkey, the Chairman of the Majlisi Namoyandagon (Tajikistan’s lower chamber of parliament) Mahmadtoir Zokirzoda yesterday met in Ankara with the President of the Republic of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on friendly relations between the two countries and discussed cooperation in the fields of economy, culture, education and health, Muhammadato Sultonov, a spokesman for the Majlisi Namoyandagon, told Asia-Plus in an interview.   

Tajik parliament speaker also held talks with Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu. He reportedly highly appreciated Turkish foreign minister’s role in further expansion of the bilateral cooperation between Tajikistan and Turkey.
