Russian Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Tajikistan Igor Lyakin-Frolov, together with representatives of the Eurasian Development Bank, visited the construction sites of two Russian schools – in Dushanbe and Tursunzade.

The customer for the implementation of this large-scale project on behalf of the Russian Government is the Eurasian Development Bank, the general contractor of the project is "ZARUBEZHDIPSTROY", the press service of the Russian embassy reports.

“We are satisfied with the progress of the work. We hope that the construction of schools will be completed on schedule – by September 1, 2022", the Russian Ambassador noted.

Construction of schools in Tajikistan is a joint initiative of Russian President Vladimir Putin and Tajik President Emomali Rahmon.
It is planned that Russian schools will be built in five cities of Tajikistan – Dushanbe, Khujand, Bokhtar, Kulyab and Tursunzade.
It is planned that more than 1200 students will study at each school.
