RIA Novosti says that in an interview with Rossiya 24 TV channel, Russian top diplomat Sergey Lavrov has called for taking measures to prevent the spillover of terrorist threats from Afghanistan through borders into other countries.

Russian foreign minister emphasized that is necessary to suppress these threats inside the country so that there will be no destabilization in neighboring countries, since their stability is especially important for Russia.

“Because we have no border with the Central Asian allies, and we have a visa-free regime with almost all of them,” Lavrov noted.
