A minor has reportedly got a lengthy jail term for killing a peer.

The press center of the Prosecutor-General’s Office says the Supreme Court has sentenced the minor R. Sharifzoda to 12 years in prison.

The sentence followed his conviction on charges of hooliganism motivated murder (Article 104 of Tajikistan’s Penal Code) and bullying with weapons items used as weapons (Article 237 of Tajikistan’s Penal Code)

The preliminary investigation has reportedly established that in April this year, upon learning that his younger brother was beaten, Sharifzoda gathered his friends and went to "sort things out" with his offenders.

During the brawl, Sharifzoda reportedly inflicted a stab wound to E. Miroyev, who died on the way to hospital.
