The Interior Minister Ramazon Rahimzoda yesterday held a meeting to review the results of operational activities carried out by the Interior Ministry’s office in the Gorno Badakhshan Autonomous Region (GBAO) over the first eleven months of this year, according to the Interior Ministry’s official; website.

Speaking at the meeting, the minister reportedly shared his opinion about events that had occurred in Khorog, the capital of GBAO, and the results of work carried out by the interagency commission in charge of providing law and order in GBAO.

Colonel-General Ramazon Rahimzoda noted that thanks to the efforts of law enforcement officers, the situation in GBAO has stabilized, “people are busy with daily work and live a peaceful life,” says the Interior Ministry’s official website.

The minister stressed that “with the support of President Emomali Rahmon, the Gorno Badakhshan Autonomous Region develops from year to year, but leaders and members of organized criminal groups commit offenses.”
