The Deputy Head of the Land Management Committee in Devashtich District of Sughd Province, Temour Mustafoqulov, has been arrested on suspicion of being involved in a large-scale fraud, says the press center of the Agency for State Finance Control and Combating Corruption. 

Mustafoqulov reportedly demanded 20,000 somonis from a local resident for the allotment of land in the name of his brother.

He was reportedly caught red-handed while taking the second part of the amount.

Criminal proceedings have been instituted against Mustafoqulov and an investigation is under way.
