A court in Tambov found a 54-year-old citizen of Tajikistan guilty of committing a crime under Part 1 of Art. 291 of the Criminal Code of Russia (giving a bribe to an official).

According to the press service of the Prosecutor's Office of the Soviet District of Tambov, a Tajik citizen who arrived in Russia was detained in July of this year..

«She was found guilty of bribing. The woman handed over to an official of the migration department a bribe in a bag where she put 10,000 rubles and a dress worth 1,805 rubles, as well as a note asking for assistance in acquiring citizenship of the Russian Federation», – press service reports.

It is noted that an employee of the migration department reported the fact of corruption to law enforcement agencies, to whom the package was handed over.

As a result, the Tajik woman received a penalty in the form of a fine of 20,000 rubles to the state with simultaneous confiscation and conversion of the amount of the alleged bribe to the state.
