On September 9, a fatal traffic accident occurred on the Dushanbe-Varzob highway.

According to the Committee for Emergency Situations of Tajikistan, the day before, on the 66th kilometer of the Dushanbe-Varzob highway, the driver of a Mercedes-Benz car, a 37-year-old resident of Istaravshan, lost control of the car while driving from Khujand to Dushanbe and collided with a truck, which was driven by a 33-year-old resident of Gissar.

"As a result of the accident, two passengers of a Mercedes-Benz car died – these are 64 and 79-year-old residents of the city of Istaravshan. The driver and two other passengers of the Mercedes-Benz were taken to the central hospital of the Varzob region with various injuries", – the CES reports.
