President Emomali Rahmon instructed the executive authority of the city of Rogun, together with the Committee for Tourism Development under the Government of Tajikistan and other relevant departments, by the beginning of 2023, to submit a draft Program for the Development of the Rogun Tourist Zone within three months.

In the National Tourism Development Strategy of Tajikistan until 2030, Rogun is also singled out as a special item as a tourism object.

The city is rich in resources and has a relatively extensive infrastructure. The main objects of the tourism industry are the “Obi Garm” sanatorium, the Rogun Central Museum, the Mulloshaikh healing spring.

In the future, after the completion of the construction of the Rogun HPP, it will be possible to attract tourists to visit the dam and reservoir.

In addition, an apple festival can be held in Rogun, as the surroundings of the city are famous for their delicious and juicy apples.
