A fire have occurred at the home goods market “Qubod” in the administrative center of Qubodiyon district in Khatlon province early morning today.

An official source within the Interior Ministry Fire Directorate told Asia-Plus that the fire broke out at the market at around 04:50 am.

“Flames engulfed trade and service facilities covering an area of 655 square meters,” said the source.  “With the connection of additional resources, the fire has been completely extinguished by 07:05 am.”

Currently, a special commission is working to investigate the cause of the fire and assess the damage caused by the fire to the facilities.
