As part of his working trip to the northern province of Sughd, President Emomali Rahmon on July 7 visited Mastchoh district, where he got acquainted with operations of Arvis Zelal Textile LLC, which is one of the largest spinning complexes in Sughd province.

The Tajik president’s official website says the head of state got acquainted with the process of industrial processing of cotton fiber and production of cotton yarn.

This large spinning complex with the contribution of entrepreneurs from Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Turkiye started operating again in December 2022 after renovation, and more than 300 local residents are provided with well-paid jobs at this enterprise.

About 500 people now work for this spinning complex at salaries ranging from 1,500 somonis to 2,000 somonis.

Arvis Zelal Textile LLC, which currently operates in three shifts, has the capacity of industrial processing of 6,500 tons of cotton fiber and the production of 5,400 tons of cotton yarn of sizes 16, 20, 24 and 30 per year.

Arvis Zelal Textile LLC is the largest spinning enterprise in the area in terms of production and technological capacity, and in its separate factories, the most advanced devices, and equipment for cotton fiber processing and cotton yarn production from the world's most prestigious companies, including Germany, China and Turkiye, have been installed at this enterprise.  Raw materials are reportedly available entirely in Sughd province.

It was reported that the manufactured product — cotton yarn — is currently exported abroad, primarily to Uzbekistan.

At the same time, this company has the opportunity to supply textile enterprises of the country with cotton yarn.

During December 2022 and over the first six months of this year, this spinning complex has produced about 2,000 tons of cotton yarn.

Emomali Rahmon reportedly instructed the officials and investors of Arvis Zelal Textile LLC to increase the production of yarn to 8,000 tons per year in the future.
