Tajikistan is at the bottom of the world open data ranking

Tajikistan scored 42 points and took the 126th place in the Open Data Inventory (ODIN) rating. The rating, which was updated on August 9 this year, covered 195 countries of the world, Ferghana reports.

The compilers of the rating – analysts of the Open Data Watch organization – annually assess the coverage and openness of official statistics from different countries to identify gaps, promote open data policy, improve access and encourage dialogue between national statistical offices and data users.

Singapore became the leader of the rating (90 points).

The top five also included Poland, Denmark, Finland and Norway.

Uzbekistan is the leader among the Central Asian countries: it scored 70 points, and took the 30th place.

Kazakhstan took 51st place with 63 points.

Kyrgyzstan scored 51 points, and took the 92nd line.

Turkmenistan with 1 point is recognized as the most closed country in the world – it was given the last, 195th place.

However, North Korea is not on the list.

The USA with 72 points was awarded 22nd place, Russia with 62 points took 57th place, Turkey with 59 points – 66th place, China with 37 points – 149th place.

Afghanistan scored 32 points and took 167th place.

As noted by Ferghana, the Statistics Agency of Uzbekistan recalled that the Republic:

– in 2015 scored 3 points and took the last 125th place;

– in 2016 scored 13 points and took 168th place out of 173;

– in 2017, with a score of 18 points rose to the 167th line out of 180;

– in 2018 scored 19 points and took 168th place out of 178;

– in 2020 received 63 points and took 44th place out of 187;

– in 2022 scored 66 points and rose to 40th place out of 192.
