As a result of the accident on August 6 on the Dushanbe-Kulob-Khorog highway, 12 people were killed. Rumors that there are many more of them are invalid. Mayor of Kulob Bakhtiyor Nazarzoda announced this at a press conference on August 14.

According to him, 10 people were killed on the night of the accident, 13 more were injured and were hospitalized in city and regional hospitals.

"A day after the incident, Madina Jamoliddin died in the hospital, and Kurban Sufiev died on the second day. Thus, the death toll has increased to 12," he explained. – Accordingly, 11 people remained in the hospital."

Recall that on the evening of August 6, the driver of the car "Dulan" while driving along the highway "Dushanbe-Kulob-Khorog" from Sh. Shokhin region at the entrance to the city of Kulob lost control due to brake failure and crashed into other cars and houses on the side of the road at high speed.
