On August 30, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon presented awards and honorary titles to representatives of various professions in honor of the 32nd anniversary of the country's state independence.

According to the press service of the head of state, the number of recipients included 200 outstanding personalities, including scientists, teachers, poets, writers, cultural figures, artists and military personnel.

It is noted that the awards were presented as a sign of appreciation and recognition of their significant contribution to the development of various spheres of life of the country.

During his speech, Emomali Rahmon, recalling the faithful and selfless service of the Armed Forces servicemen and law enforcement officers of the country, noted that "in very vulnerable periods of the history of the state and the Tajik people, they fulfilled their professional duty with honor and dignity, earned the trust and respect of the people of Tajikistan."

The President of the country stressed that "today dozens of loyal sons of the Motherland are awarded the highest state awards."

The press service does not give the names of the awardees.

As part of the ceremony, which took place in the Palace of the Nation, honorary titles were also awarded – one is a People's Writer of Tajikistan, one is a People's Poet of Tajikistan, two are People's Artist of Tajikistan, one is a People's Hafiz of Tajikistan, one is a worker of science and technology of Tajikistan, 19 are Honored Artist and 20 are Honored Worker of Tajikistan.

In addition, high state awards were given – two Orders of Spitamen I and II degrees, seven Orders of Sharaf II degree, 25 people were awarded the medals "Chasorat", 105 – "Hizmati Shoista" and 7 – medals "Shafkat".

Another 11 people were awarded Certificates of Honor of the Republic of Tajikistan.

12 people became laureates of the Ismoili Somoni Prize in 2023. 

15 people were awarded the State Prize for Scientists and Teachers of Natural, Exact and Mathematical Sciences in 2023.
