President Emomali Rahmon has introduced a number of staff changes in the Gorno Badakhshan Autonomous Region, or GBAO.      

By president’s decrees issued on January 27 the heads of GBAO’s Shugnan, Rushan, Roshtqala and Ishkashim districts were dismissed in connection with transfer to other jobs.   

By other president’s decrees Komil Shoismatullozoda was appointed acting chairman of Shugnan district replacing Juma Jumazoda, Ilhom Ahmadzoda, who previously served as head of Khuroson district tin Khatlon province, was appointed acting chairman of Rushan district replacing Farrukh Dodikhudoyev, Lashkar Safarzoda was appointed acting chairman of Roshtqala district replacing Azam Shomirzozoda, and Anvar Imatshozoda was appointed acting chairman of Ishkashim district replacing Muso Mirzozoda.    

Besides, Saidburhon Abdurahmonzoda was relieved of his post of chairman of GBAO’s Darvoz district for age reasons, and Umedjon Nosirzoda was appointed acting chairman of GBAO’s Darvoz district. 

In connection with Article 20 of the country’s law on the local government bodies, Habibullo Amirbekzoda and Muso Mirzozoda are appointed deputy governors of the Gorno Badakhshan Autonomous Region.
