An incident in one of schools in Dushanbe has led punishment of parents of students and teachers

The Dushanbe Police Directorate press service says the check began after appearance of a video on social networks showing 10-graders of School # 127 congratulating their classmate on his birthday in an unusual way, duct-taping his mouth.

Отмечается, что произошло воIt is noted that this happened during recess on January 27.

Administrative protocols were reportedly drawn up against the students’ parents in accordance with Article 90 of the Administrative Code of Tajikistan — failure to fulfill the duties of guardianship, education and upbringing of minors.

This article stipulates that failure to fulfill the duties of guardianship, education and upbringing of minors is punishable by a fine in the amount of three to seven calculating indicators (current calculating indicator amounts to 72.00 somonis).

Last year, parents of students of one of Dushanbe’s school were punished for their “extraordinary” congratulation of the birthday girl.  They broke eggs on her head.  The parents of the “heroes” of the video posted on social networks – 8-10-graders of one of Dushanbe’s schools – were also subjected to administrative penalties.
