On Sunday March 24, President Emomali Rahmon held phone talks with his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin.

According to the Tajik president’s official website, Emomali Rahmon strongly condemned the brutal, bloody terrorist attack on a concert venue in Krasnogorsk, the Crocus City Hall, emphasizing that “terrorists have no nationality, no homeland, no religion.”

The President of Tajikistan, wishing a speedy recovery to the injured, conveyed sincere words of condolences and support to the families and loved ones of those killed as a result of the monstrous tragedy.

In the mournful hour of National mourning in the Russian Federation, Emomali Rahmon reportedly emphasized the solidarity of all citizens of Tajikistan with the fraternal Russian people.

The parties also confirmed their intention to continue close cooperation in the fight against terrorism, extremism and manifestations of religious radicalism, which pose a serious threat to security.

In this context, the importance of further strengthening common efforts to maintain contacts and coordination between relevant agencies and services was noted in order to effectively respond to and jointly combat these threats.
