Tajikistan President Emomali Rahmon arrived in Tehran Tuesday morning to participate in the inauguration ceremony of the newly elected President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Masoud Pezeshkian.

The Tajik president’s official website says First Deputy Chairperson of the Majlisi Namoyandagon (Tajikistan’s lower chamber of parliament), Foreign Minister, Presidential Aide for Foreign Affairs, Minister of Energy and Water Resources and some other high-ranking state officials are accompanying the president on his visit to the Islamic Republic of Iran.  

Emomali Rahmon was warmly welcomed at Tehran International Airport by high-ranking representatives and officials of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

In order to welcome the distinguished guest, a red carpet was laid out, and a guard of honor was lined up on both sides.

According to Tajik president’s official website, high-ranking representatives of almost 80 countries of the world, including a number of heads of state, heads of parliaments and governments of different countries, as well as a large number of representatives of regional and international organizations, arrived in Tehran to participate in the ceremony.
