Turkiye has opened a visa application enter in Dushanbe and beginning on August 5, applications for a visa will be accepted at this center, Turkiye’s Embassy in Dushanbe says on its official Facebook page.

It is noted that the Embassy itself will no longer accept visa applications.

The Embassy notes that there is no need to make an appointment to apply, “you just need to leave it during business hours of the visa application center.”

Center’s operating hours: Monday-Friday: 9:00am – 5:00pm.

Address: Sozidaniye Business Center, 48 Ayni Street, Dushanbe.

Since 2018, Tajik citizens have been able to travel to Turkiye for up to 90 days without a visa.  That opening closed this year after Turkish authorities put a visa regime for Tajik nationals on April 20, 2024.

On April 6, a decision dated the previous day by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan was published.  The announcement stated that it has been decided to abolish the visa exemption for ordinary passport holders of Tajikistan during their travels to Turkiye.

Tajikistan has ended a vis-free access for citizens of Turkiye in response of Turkiye’s decision to cancel a visa-free travel for Tajik nationals.  Tajikistan reportedly introduced a visa regime for holders of Turkish general passports for foreign travels starting from April 20 in accordance with the government’s decree dated March 28 in order to implement the principle of reciprocity.
