Tajikistan's e-commerce Program for 2025-2029 will be funded from the state budget, development partners and the private sector.

“The total amount of funding for the Program at the first stage of its implementation is 305.9 million somoni (about $30 million),” – says the document recently presented in Dushanbe.

In particular, 112.9 million somoni is planned to be allocated from the state budget, 135.4 million somoni is expected to be received from development partners and 57.6 million somoni from the private sector.

The program is planned to be implemented in stages in three periods:

– the first period is 2025-2027;

– the second period is 2028;

– the third period is 2029.

In the first period, the main focus will be on the formation of an integrated e-commerce support system, data analysis and collection, awareness-raising and attracting funds from development partners to implement the action plan. 258.7 million somoni will be allocated for these purposes.

“In the second and third periods, the effective operation of the national e-commerce system, new financial mechanisms, non-financial measures and basic measures will be implemented,” – the Program says.

The electronic commerce program of Tajikistan was adopted by the decree of the Government of the Republic on May 16 this year. The document is aimed at expanding electronic commerce, creating opportunities to reduce the costs associated with the organization of trade, simplify trade procedures, and conduct non-cash transactions in a short time.
