On September 10, President Emomali Rahmon continued his working trip to the cities and districts of Sughd region, where several facilities were commissioned with his participation, the press service of the head of state reports.
A shoe shop, Limited Liability Company “Farogat”, was opened in Kanibadam. It was built on an area of 230 sq/m with the support of entrepreneur Firdavs Rustamzoda.
The workshop has 12 shoe sewing machines, a machine for applying edging to shoes and other equipment. The production capacity of the workshop is designed for 130 pairs of shoes per month and 50 thousand pairs per year.
The workshop produces men's and children's shoes, and the company's products are import-substituting.
At the “Khosiyat” restaurant in Kanibadam, Emomali Rahmon presented 80 orphaned teenagers from Kanibadam, Isfara, Jabbor Rasulov, Devashtich, Spitamen and Zafarabad with a set of school uniforms, school supplies, shoes and cash.
The President also took part in the commissioning ceremony of the new school building No. 48.
The new 2-storey building has 16 equipped classrooms, including chemistry, biology, computer science, physics, mathematics, foreign languages, basic military training, as well as teachers' classrooms, a library and an archive. Classrooms are equipped with electronic whiteboards and computers.
The school is designed for 640 students of Somonien village of the rural jamoat named after Rajab Khamroboev.
Next, a water supply line was commissioned to irrigate 2,500 hectares of land in the villages of Somonien, Kuchkak, Fayzbor, Bekabad and Khamirchui.
The Istiklol pumping station consists of 2 irrigation water lines, water will be supplied from a distance of 9200 meters from the Tajik Sea to agricultural land.
According to the Kanibadam Agriculture Department, greater access to irrigated waters will expand the area of arable land at the expense of fallow and out-of-agricultural lands.
An exhibition of agricultural products and farms of Kanibadam was also organized here.
Then the Head of state got acquainted with the progress of construction work on the Kanibadam-Kuchkak highway. The implementation of the project “Improvement of regional and Central Asian communication routes by BRAHM-4” started in March 2023, work was carried out in 4 districts of Sughd region, including Kurush-Bekabad (12.3 km), Dekhmoy-Bobojon Gafurov (22 km), Bobojon Gafurov-Histevarz (6.6 km) and Kanibadam-Kuchkak (10.3 km).
In addition, 11 bridges with a total length of 457.3 meters are planned to be repaired on 4 sections of highways in Sughd region.
The project is funded by the International Development Association of the World Bank Group, the construction is carried out by the “Chinese Railway in Tajikistan-USZUI” company.
After that, Emomali Rahmon visited the dried fruit packaging plant of LLC “Nerui Kand”. It was built by businessman Navruz Yusufov.
Dried apricots are processed and packaged at the plant; the production capacity is one thousand tons per year. Raw materials are purchased from farms in Kanibadam, Isfara and Asht districts.
Emomali Rahmon also took part in the opening of kindergartens No. 2 “Sitora” and No. 1 “Nuri Robiya” in Kanibadam after the renovation.
