UNICEF Tajikistan and T-Cell on October 28 signed their first Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), marking a groundbreaking partnership to enhance parental support and promote youth employment opportunities across Tajikistan.

Press release issued by UNICEF Tajikistan says this new collaboration aligns with UNICEF’s mission to promote early childhood development and support young people’s successful entry into the workforce.

As part of this MoU, T-Cell will support greater access to the Bebbo positive parenting app, designed to empower parents with the essential knowledge to give their children the best start in life.  The Bebbo app offers comprehensive guidance for parents with children under the age of six, addressing critical topics such as child health, immunization, and early childhood development.  T-Cell together with UNICEF will be conducting awareness-raising initiatives and delivering messages about Bebbo’s availability directly to T-Cell customers who are also parents.

UNICEF Tajikistan Representative, Mr. Arthur van Diesen, said, “The signing of our joint Memorandum of Understanding today, marks a special occasion for our two organizations in Tajikistan. It is a great honor for UNICEF to partner with TCELL in order to better support key outcomes for children, young people, and parents in Tajikistan. UNICEF globally is committed to creating purposeful partnerships with the private sector and leverage the power of business toward priorities for children.”

This partnership also expands opportunities for young people in Tajikistan, contributing to UNICEF’s broader agenda of meaningful youth employment. Supported by the European Union, UNICEF, and the government of Tajikistan, six Impact Sourcing Hubs nationwide (remote job centers) have laid the foundation for an industry of outsourced work that can sustainably benefit Tajikistan’s youth.

“This partnership is an important step for the company as part of its social responsibility strategy and support for the younger generation. TCell is committed to contributing to the development of society by creating opportunities for the training and development of young people,” said Tcell CEO, Ozodkhon Davlatshoyev.

Through this collaboration, T-Cell will aid in enhancing the IT capacity of these hubs and provide insights into the job opportunities available in Tajikistan’s telecommunications sector for young people.
