Journalist and environmental activist Zulfiya Golubeva has launched the #OzmuniSabz2024 environmental campaign, offering people the opportunity to help clean up the capital and win valuable prizes.

Launched with support from the European Delegation to Tajikistan, this initiative aims to raise public awareness of the importance of environmental protection and foster support for ecological initiatives. #OzmuniSabz2024 will be conducted in two formats: a challenge and subbotniks (organized clean-up events).

The challenge began a week ago on Instagram. By participating, entrants can win high-value prizes, such as an electric scooter, a bicycle, and a microphone with an audio interface. To take part, participants must create a Reels video on an environmental theme, using the hashtag #OzmuniSabz2024.  Topics can range from trash collection to personal eco-friendly habits.

Only challenge participants are eligible for prizes.  The top ten videos will receive awards, with the main prizes going to the three best creators. Five organized clean-up events are also planned, with four in Dushanbe and one in the city's outskirts.

The campaign will run until the end of January 2025.  More details are available on Zulfiya Golubeva’s Instagram page.
