On November 7, a passenger bus traveling from Russia to Tajikistan broke down on the Samara-Shymkent highway.

The bus, carrying both adults and children, encountered issues near the village of Kalybay in the Aktobe region, Kazakhstan's Ministry of Internal Affairs writes on its Telegram channel.

The Van Hool bus reportedly had 56 foreign passengers on board, including four minors.  Patrol officers evacuated the passengers, provided accommodation for them at a nearby campsite, and assisted the driver.  No injuries were reported.

It was not specified whether any of the passengers were Tajik nationals.

Due to bad weather, roads were also closed overnight, prompting the police to provide round-the-clock traffic control and assistance to drivers.

A similar incident occurred on November 5 of this year. Another bus, carrying 38 passengers from Uzbekistan and Tajikistan, broke down on the same highway.  However, Kazakhstan's emergency services successfully evacuated all passengers to the village of Irgiz, where they were given necessary assistance.

It should be noted that mainly residents of the Tajik northern province of Sughd travel to Russia by bus.
