The highest amount of the Presidential Award in Tajikistan is 300,000 somoniы, granted to Olympic champions.

Tajik athletes who win silver medals at the most prestigious quadrennial competition receive 250,000 somonis, while bronze medalists are awarded 200,000 somoni.

The award amounts vary depending on the category, distinguishing between Olympic and non-Olympic sports.

The first category includes, in addition to the Olympics itself, the Asian Games (first place – 150,000 somonis, second place – 100,000 somonis, third place – 50,000 somonis) and the Universiade (50,000, 40,000, and 30,000 somonis, respectively).

The second category covers Olympic sports at the World Championship (gold – 200,000 somonis, silver – 150,000 somonis, bronze – 100,000 somonis) and the Asian Championship (gold – 74,000 somonis, silver – 50,000 somonis, bronze – 25,000 somonis).

The third category includes non-Olympic sports at the World and Asian Championships.  A gold medal at the World Championship is valued at 50,000 somonis, silver at 40,000 somonis, and bronze at 30,000 somonis.

At the Asian Championship, first place is rewarded with 25,000 somonis, silver with 20,000 somonis, and bronze with 15,000 somonis.  However, for an athlete to qualify for a prize, the World Championship in that category must have at least 70 participating countries, while the Asian Championship must have at least 30.

Athletes who become winners and medalists in youth and junior championships are also eligible for awards.  They receive 25% of the amount designated for winners and medalists of major adult competitions.

Coaches of successful athletes also receive bonuses.
