Every summer, parents face the same question: how to keep their teenagers busy in a way that's not only fun but also meaningful?  This year, MediaLAB Asia+ offers a compelling answer — a unique three-month educational program where teens can explore digital skills, unlock their creative potential, and build confidence.

The program consists of three consecutive monthly courses, each designed to engage teens in the digital world in a hands-on, safe, and creative way.

June – “Shoot Like a Pro”

Participants will learn how to film and edit videos directly on their smartphones.
Instead of endless scrolling, they’ll discover the basics of visual thinking, framing, lighting, and sound.

By the end of the course, each student will create a short video — with a chance to be featured on the Asia-Plus platforms.

July – “Smart Online: Media Literacy and AI”

This course helps teenagers navigate the digital world and protect themselves from fake news, clickbait, and manipulation.

They will learn how to verify information, understand how TikTok and YouTube algorithms work, recognize scams, and make smart use of AI tools.

The final project will be an infographic, post, or short video with practical tips for other teens.

August – “History Is You”

This course dives into storytelling — the kind that grabs attention and gets shared.

Teens will explore different formats (text, video, stories, comics) and find their own voice.

The course wraps up with the creation of original content that’s ready for publication.

What each course includes:

  • 8 interactive 1-hour sessions
  • Practical assignments and mentor support
  • Certificate upon completion
  • Chance to be published on Asia+ platforms
  • A valuable digital skill for school, university, and life

Exclusive benefits for full program participants (All 3 courses):

  • 20% discount on total price
  • Recommendation letter from the Asia+ editorial team (useful for school or university applications)
  • Guided tour of the Asia+ newsroom
  • Access to a private community with useful announcements, challenges, and contests

Courses will be offered in both Russian and Tajik. Parents can choose the language stream most comfortable for their child.

Participation fees:

  • One course: 500 somonis
  • Full program (all three courses): 1,200 somonis (with 20% discount)

Registration for the first course – “Shoot Like a Pro” – closes on June 8.

Classes will be held at MediaLAB Asia+, located at: Dushanbe, 14/21 M. Tursunzoda Str. (2nd floor, opposite Yovar Supermarket).
