Tajik authorities have issued a wanted notice for Umedjon Soliyev, one of the suspects in the deadly terror attack at Crocus City Hall concert venue in Russia, TASS reports, citing lawyer Igor Trunov, who represents victims in the case.
Russian investigators allege that Soliyev supplied weapons to the attackers. He has been listed as a terrorist in Russia and is wanted in Tajikistan on robbery charges, Trunov stated.
Soliyev, along with other organizers of the March 2024 attack, reportedly left Russia before the incident and fled to Turkiye. In total, nine individuals—citizens of Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan—have been declared wanted by Tajik law enforcement under various names and aliases.
Among them is Zubaidullo Ismoilov, identified as the group's arms supplier, who had previously been convicted in Tajikistan for public calls to overthrow the constitutional order. The names of other suspects are being withheld in the interest of the ongoing investigation.
Case materials indicate that Soliyev, Ismoilov, and another suspect, Gadoyev, transported firearms from Dagestan to Moscow, where they handed them over to one of the assailants.
Trunov also noted that Turkish authorities may extradite all wanted individuals to Russia, including the elder brother of the primary assailant, Muhammadsobir Faizov. The brother had been living in Turkiye prior to being placed on Russia’s wanted list. According to investigators, he is a member of the banned terrorist organization Islamic State.
Before the attack on the Moscow-area concert venue, Faizov’s brother hosted two of the attackers—Saidakram Rajabalizoda and Faridoun Shamsiddin—both of whom are Tajik nationals. Shamsiddin had previously been convicted in Tajikistan for a sexual offense.
The Crocus City Hall terrorist attack occurred on March 22, 2024, in Krasnogorsk near Moscow, killing 146 people and injuring more than 550. Four of the attackers—Muhammadsobir Faizov, Dalerjon Mirzoyev, Saidakram Rajabalizoda, and Faridoun Shamsiddin—attempted to flee but were captured in Bryansk Oblast and transported to Moscow.
Trial proceedings for 19 suspects in the case are scheduled to begin on August 4.
