Iran's exports of non-energy goods to Tajikistan for the period from March 21 to July 22, 2025 increased by 32% in monetary terms and by 30% in volume compared to the same period last year.

According to the TurkicWorld publication provided by the Iranian Customs Administration, goods worth about $116 million with a total weight of about 191 thousand tons were delivered to Tajikistan during this period. For comparison, in the same period of 2024, exports amounted to $87.8 million and 147 thousand tons.

The main export positions were petrochemical products, metallurgical products, as well as agricultural and food products. In general, the trade turnover between Iran and Tajikistan in the 4 months under review reached $144 million and 205 thousand tons, which is 25.3% more in monetary terms and 29.3% more in volume compared to the same period of the previous year.

The Iranian customs also reported that the total exports of non-energy goods from the country for the first 4 months of the current Iranian year (starting on March 21. Editor's note) amounted to 48.8 million tons worth $16.5 billion. This is 5.5% less in monetary terms and 1.5% less in volume compared to the same period in 2024.

Trade relations between Tajikistan and Iran have been showing significant growth over the past year, especially in the field of non-energy products. In 2024, the total volume of bilateral trade amounted to about $378 million, which is 50% more than in 2023. This growth is associated with an increase in the supply of Iranian goods, including chemical and metallurgical products, and food.

According to the Customs Service of Tajikistan, the total trade turnover between Tajikistan and Iran for 7 months of this year exceeded $251 million. Of these, imports from Iran account for more than $202 million.
